Well, I'm sad to say that this project is on a temporary hold due to the burglary at our home. My baby is gone. So until the insurance company gets off their asses, I'll be posting some of my favorite pictures to pass the time.

I know this is not a technically great picture, but it's too funny not to use. This is a typical morning at our house. Pajamas? Check. Coffee? Check. Bag of cereal? Check. Nose picking while having a deep thought moment most likely about trashing the living room later today? Check!

Miss Lola's "I need a cookie" face. Lola has been a great addition to our little family and Samantha is just in love with her. She's always hugging and kissing on Lola or yelling down the hall for the poor dog. Poppy doesn't seem to mind as it takes some of the heat off of her with the kids and Lola digs the attention. There is definitely less room in our bed these days.

day ten.

On Saturday, I attened a mini-workshop at Klehm Arboretum here in Rockford. The temperature was bitter cold, but I sucked it up and made sure to put my long johns on. By the time we got back to the classroom, I think my eyes were frozen in the open position, but I had fun challenging myself.

day nine.

Sorry, nothing super creative from me tonight, because Friday nights are for WCing on msn messenger. Stephen's at grandma's, Sam's in bed, Scott's at work and I have the computer to myself for once!

day seven.

I miss my garden. I'm ready for spring. I've lived in the midwest most of my life and realize that perhaps it's a little too early to be "thinking spring", but just can't help myself. My poor, crunchy brown plants are just sitting in the yard loathing the snow right now.

day six.

My new bathroom makes for an awesome shoot booth. harhar!!

day five.

I'll title this "Naked Cupie Doll In Wine Rack". The kids find the most random things and are even more random when choosing where to deposit said item. This doll was given to me by my dad's mom and the doll's clothing was long gone before I got my hands on her. She lives in the curio cabinet in our dining room. I can't bear to toss her and she's survived countless moves with me.

day four.

Currently on my needles is a hat for Vivian. I have four more months of knitting ahead of me before she arrives and a long list of want to-dos. I love hand dyed yarn. I love color. I love watching things knit up in front of me!



*Side note for those curious: This is a colorway called "Alice" from Three Irish Girls. Samantha has a pair of knitted shorts in this colorway that I just LOVED and can't wait for Vivian to get to wear them as well.

day three.

Our pantry that I love, oh so much. I found it in the basement at my old house and decided to use it as a pantry due to the lack of cupboard space. It followed me to the new house as well for the same reason. Sam loves to empty it, so all non breakable items are kept on the lower shelves for her entertainment. My great uncle would be entertained that his tool cabinet doubles as a nice kitchen piece.

new project.

For the new year, one of my resolutions was to start a new photography project in hopes of really pushing myself in my photography. I'm very excited about this project and really will do my best to stick with it. I may not upload every day, but I vow to have my camera out of its bag at least once a day and will upload when I have a few moments to myself. I've found it's rather difficult to edit with the children climbing on my lap to empty the desk drawers.

My good friend Holly gave this to me for my birthday and I'm using it as my day one photo because this is seriously going to be my mantra for 2009. I will live. I will laugh. I will love.
